Brewery Spotlight – Spyglass Brewing Company

To kickoff our New England brewery spotlight series, we figured he best place to start would be with Spyglass Brewing Company, the winning brewery in our NH IPA blind taste test!

Just getting started

Spyglass is one of the newest breweries in New Hampshire.  They opened the facility and tasting room in early October of 2018.  They have quickly become one of the most exciting breweries.

And the winner is…

Their flagship beer, State Machine IPA with Citra won our best IPA in New Hampshire contest just a few weeks after opening.  That is right, they have only been open for under a year and they are already brewing some of the best IPAs in NH!

Spyglass is a nano brewery located in Nashua at 2 Townsend West, Unit #8.  They are right near Whitebirch Brewery and a new distillery, so you can plan to make an afternoon out of your visit.

Visiting the tasting room

The Spyglass tasting room is open to the public and has a small bar area but plenty of other seating.

They serve full and half pours of all their beers and have a small menu of light food options as well.  You can also get 32oz and 64oz glass growlers so you can enjoy their beer at home.

They have started canning some of their beers in small batches, so you might be able to pick up some cans to go when you visit.

Their taproom hours are Thursdays and Fridays 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturdays noon to 8:00.  The hours are a bit tricky, so you have to plan ahead, but it is definitely worth it!

New England IPAs!

The website claims that they especially love hoppy beers, but they do have other offerings like Saisons, Belgian ales, English ales.  On our last visit they have about 10 different beers on tap!

We tried all the IPAs that they have and they were all very, very good. They are continually coming up with new IPAs and all of them are great. No matter which IPAs they have on draft when you visit, you will no be disappointed!

If you are in the Nashua area, you must stop in and check then out!   If you love great IPAs, then you need to plan a road trip very soon.
